Week 54

Hello everyone,

This was a great week with lots of work!

Monday night we taught a sister named Comfort who only speaks Twi. We have to use an interpreter, but we gave her a baptismal date, and will work towards it.

Tuesday we had district counsel, which was great like usual. After we had to go to Accra for some stuff.

Wednesday we went back to Accra so that I could get a new non-citizen card as my old one was expiring. Afterwards we meet with Prince who is a referral. He is awesome! 7 years ago he went to church for one month and liked it. Recently he asked his girlfriend to send the missionary's to him. He even brought a friend who is also searching for a church. They are very interested in the gospel.

Thursday we started off teaching Eyram. She had questions about baptism so that is what we taught and we even extended a baptismal date to her. Afterwards I was supposed to do an interview but the person wasn't answering her phone. We then taught Martha who we invited to be baptized last week. We went over the restoration.

Friday we started the day teaching Timothy which was good. Then we went to Teshie 1 so I could do a baptismal interview.  Teshie 1 just became a Sisters area this week. Now the district is my companion and me, one more set of elders, and now two sets of sisters. The interview was great. In the evening, we taught Mavis whose family is split half LDS the other half JW. She loves our church and loves the message of the restored gospel.

Saturday my bike tire was flat so that had to be fixed. Afterwards I did a baptismal interview in Teshie 3. Then we went and taught Bismark and invited him to church again. We also gave him a baptismal date to work towards. Then we taught Comfort (a different Comfort than from Monday) and invited her to church and she said she would come.

Sunday church was great. We had Mavis, Comfort, Comfort, Micheal and Bismark all at church, which was amazing. This week we had the highest numbers this area has seen in over a year.

Love,
Elder Marcusen
