Wednesday
Started off with a great lesson with Lawrence who asked an inspired question. I think he is starting to realize that certain things his church does are not correct. He asked if when we are praying, is it good to shout, jump, and clap when you are praying to your Father in Heaven. We asked him if you were going to ask you father on earth for something what would you do? That really made a lot of sense to him and he liked it. Today Joseph said that he can’t make his baptism this Saturday, so yeah.
Thursday
Normal sweet day of missionary work in Ghana
Friday
Today we took a member, who is leaving for a mission in a month, with us proselyting. He took us to one of his friends, and she was really interested in the church.
Saturday
This morning there was supposed to be a baptism for two children of record but after waiting an hour for them to show up, we postponed it to tomorrow. Then we visited Joseph and he gave us a little hope by saying he will come to church tomorrow. In the evening we got to meet with a referral from a member. I look forward to learning and teaching with them.
Sunday
Well my heart is broken Joseph didn't show up to church. However, we were able to attend the baptism of the two 8 year olds which fixed my heart. That’s missionary work here. If someone says “by God’s grace I will be there” they will never make it. Every time they say that I want to teach them about grace because clearly they don’t understand it at all.
Monday
Today we had a multi-zone activity at the beach. It was so fun to play rugby and ultimate Frisbee on the sand. Of course being white and going to a place you always have to fight not to be ripped off.
Tuesday
Well on the way back from district council, it started raining hard (Yay rain) and it started pouring! When we got out of the trotro we ran half way back to the apartment, but we gave up because we were soaked all the way. We were able to only see a couple of people because of the rain. The best was that we were able to give 3 priesthood blessings to a sick family. We also had our last lesson with Jason before his baptismal interview.
Wednesday
We started off with visiting Benjamin who is still lost, but each time we see him he is looking better and better. He isn’t drinking as much, so yeah progress. Then we visited some investigators in a foster home. After we visited the Kotakas who are near Joseph and ran in to Joseph but he left before we could talk.
Thursday
Again nothing much that is interesting just another day of teaching and proselyting.
Friday
Well, we were on our way to meet with the ward mission leader and well there was a dead man on the side of the street. So yeah, fun, just keep walking. Later we ran into an investigator who said come I am making banku. Well, what she meant was she was going to make banku but hadn't started yet. In the evening we had Jasons baptismal interview. We can baptize him but we can’t confirm him because he is not in our area. For that he needs to go to his home ward, but his grandmother said that she will take him to New Jersey to get confirmed and not to a ward twenty min away for one Sunday.
Saturday
We want to get some new investigators so we spent the day contacting
Sunday
Church was great.
I hope you all have a great week!
