Hello Everyone,
This week was an interesting week. Miracles truly can happen and prayers are heard.
Tuesday
This week our goal was to get new people to teach. Today we started off with Lorance who is this awesome old guy who just wants to be young again. He’s fun and he likes to learn. The problem with trying to get new people to teach is that 9 times out of 10 return visits fall through. However, you always have to look for the fun in it.
Wednesday
Today President came to do an interview for Michael and he passed. So, we should have the baptism this Sunday. The smile on his face was so big! Later in the day my comp was doing piano lessons for some of the members for the mid-week activity, but they all showed up 1-2 hours late so that was fun.
Thursday
Today when we were in Accra, and because it was my companions birthday, we stopped for some pizza. We got jumbo sized which was awesome. Now I have pizza to eat for a couple of days. Later we taught Martha.
Friday
We started off with teaching William and Dela, which actually went well. They had a lot of questions. After we went to see Lorance and taught him about the Book of Mormon.
Saturday
So today we felt like we should go see someone and we did so. We had a great visit teaching about the Book of Mormon.
Sunday
We went to pick up and investigator, Whitney, who came to church last week. Today she said that this was the first time she is going back to a church for a second time. She has been going to a different church each week until now. She loved church and she said she wants to be baptized. When we see her this week we will give a baptismal date. Ok, so here is where the miracle comes. Today members brought a lot of friends to church. We are going to meet with them this week and we are excited. Unfortunately the baptism had to be pushed back a week for Michael, because there will be a child of record baptism next week and they don’t want to waste water.
Hope you all are doing well.
Love,
Elder Marcusen
