Week 51

Hello Everyone,

Tuesday
Today we started off teaching Bridget which went really well. After not seeing us for a while, she now has a desire to learn. Then we went to the chapel for interviews with president, which was great! He gave us President Nelsons conference talk on receiving revelation, which I have since been studying. Last night we got some heavy rains and it flooded behind our apartment (pic below)

Wednesday
Today we started with contacting and then we visited sister Shine. She was busy, so we just said Hi. In the evening, we were walking and I felt like we needed to contact this Lady so we did. We taught some of the first lesson. At the end she told us she “I felt like I need to come out, then I went back inside and it came to me again, so I went outside with a chair and that is when you came." I was so happy on the inside.

Thursday
Today we taught Mavis the restoration of the gospel which went really well. We then went to see Savior, she was very interested and she is doing well learning.

Friday
We taught Bridget about the Book of Mormon and she was asked why don't other churches use it. We told her it was because they don't want more scriptures(2 Nephi 29) and she agreed with it and said she would read it.

Saturday
Well today we were able to teach Hannah about the great plan of salvation, and well, that was the best thing that happened today because it rained A LOT.

Sunday
Today we had a special sacrament meeting where some of the founding member of the church in this area bore their testimony about what happened when the church was frozen. When it opened there was 110% attendance, not one person had left in the year and a half that the church was banned.

The first Burger King in Ghana opened recently and we finally got to try it. It did not disappoint. It tasted just like the ones back home. The hamburger even had pickles on it.
