Hello everyone,
Thanks again for the birthday wishes!
Tuesday
Well we had a huge storm come through last night and knock the power out. After District counsel meeting we visited Lawrence and we are focusing on the restoration with him. Later we tried to visit Richard, but he is now avoiding us so we taught Grandpa Rogers. It looks like our water pump is broken, so no running water.
Wednesday
Today we had to wake up early to go to Accra so my companion could renew his non-citizen card. In the evening we taught Grandpa Vanderpal who I think is the most concerned person about North Korea and nuclear weapons, but he is fun to learn with. Then we tried to see Richard and Paulina.
Thursday
This morning I was prompted to bring a Book of Mormon. We went to see Aday, but he wasn't there so we contacted this young man and gave him the restoration pamphlet. About 10-15 mins later we get a call from him asking if we had a Book of Mormon. We were like yeah, we will come right now. So we go and as we walk up this young man has the largest smile! He was so excited to get the book. I then asked myself, are we all excited to read the scriptures? We should be more excited to read the word of God.
Friday
Well, our pump is still out of order. The repair guy called and said he would come today, and that we should stay in the area. Well, he never called or came, but we visited our investigators in the area.
Saturday
Today we found out Aday’s sister took him to a Pentecostal prayer camp for two weeks so thats stinks. We visited the Ampows and checked up on Christabell, then we went to teach Lydia and Nie Nie, but they were not around.
Sunday
Today church was nice and normal, well almost normal. After church we found five 2 inched cockroaches in our shower! We still have no running water, so it’s bucket showers, but those don’t really work for good showers.
Hope you all have a good week!
Love,
Elder Marcusen
