Week 39

Happy Easter!

Tuesday
So after district counsel we did group contacting. I was chosen to sit at a table in the center of town with the District Leader. Well it was good until a crazy man showed up called towel man. Unfortunately, today he wasn't wearing the towel or anything!!  He was chasing people away, so no one came to our table.  So yeah… that was interesting. Well we did get a couple of people to talk with us.

Wednesday
We started off with Patience who wanted us to teach her about Easter so we did. Afterwards she told us that she was leaving her job and going to another town not in our area.  She wanted us to come back one last time tomorrow. Then we went to Sister Rosalinda who was on her way to the hospital. She asked for a blessing so we gave her one, then she said her daughter also needed one, so we gave her one also.

Thursday
We had our final lesson with Patience which was great. Then we went to a barber who we contacted and gave a brief lesson because he was busy.

Friday
Today is good Friday but for us it is bad Friday because everyone is at a church somewhere and not free. We went and got a soda and as we were drinking them, they came out with two large plates of fried and jollof rice and said Happy Easter. Here is the catch, we were on our way to our evening/dinner appointment which was a rice ball and peanut stew so we were very full.

Saturday
We were able to watch the Saturday morning session of conference live, but it was evening by the time it ended. It was an amazing thing to be able to sustain our living prophet Russell M. Nelson.

Sunday
We watched the Saturday afternoon and Priesthood sessions, then we watched Sunday morning session live. I love conference! It was so nice, especially after last October when I couldn't watch it at all.
