Week 38

Hello Everyone,

Tuesday
Today we visited Benjamin, and yep, he was drunk again. He was begging us to keep coming and teach him. We didn't tell him we may stop or anything. We left him with an assignment to write ten reasons why he drinks, and that we will not come and learn until he does it. After that we received some referrals, so we tried to contact them but none of them were free to meet.

Wednesday
Today we met with Patience.  We learned about the plan of salvation and answered her questions. Then we met with Lawrence. He told us that he had a dream about us which was weird but cool. Then he told us the dream. In the dream we took him to a large building which had people and was beautiful. It had amazing decorations and paintings. When he went in with us he couldn't go past the front room and walk the halls and go to another room with us. He wanted to join us and all the other people he saw going to the other room. So our eyes lit up because we know this building it is the temple! So we taught him about what the temple is. Also, today I had the second victim of my barber shop, I cut my companion's hair.

Thursday
Today was our zone conference, which was really nice.  We got to have it at the area office which had AC!!!!  We got a little cold but it was so nice. I can’t wait to use the things that I learned today.

Friday
Today we went to meet with our ward mission leader.  When we showed up we were given fufu. After we tried to find Benjamin but he was nowhere to be found. So then we found and taught Patience. We finished teaching the plan of salvation, which she really liked. My companion turned one year today.

Saturday
We went on splits today so I was with Elder Hales our district leader. We tried to visit people, but Saturdays are the hardest day. We went from place to place and phone call to phone call trying to find a lesson. We were able to find a couple thankfully. Then in the evening we taught Lidia and Nie and Nie.  They all said that they would like to be baptized! We had a great lesson about the Book of Mormon.

Sunday
Well....... so one of the speakers (an older Grandma) wants to put a gun to everyone’s head and make them come to church, do church cleaning, choir, and pay tithing which is sssoooo wrong because we all have our agency. We can’t force people to do things. She was totally serious about it. So yeah, interesting in Ghana.
