Week 36

Hello Everyone,

Tuesday
After district counsel, we taught Lawrence, and then we went to a member’s house. She wasn't there, but there was a new person named Collins staying at the house who seems to have an interest in the gospel. Later we went out to where Joseph stays, but Joseph wasn't around. We met a guy whose shop is right next to the Kotakas (members). Hopefully he will read the booklet we gave him. So after walking, we had a small girl get after us for not saying hi when we walked by (she was in a conversation with someone else) she said she wanted to learn so we gave her a booklet.

Wednesday
Well, today we were supposed to meet with a member.  However, she called and said she is running late and will call us when she is there.  We stayed in the area and were able to talk to Patience and her sister while waiting. They are really progressing and want a Book of Mormon, so next time we will bring them one. After well over an hour, we gave up on the member. We headed out to Foster’s home to see Paul, but on the way, we ran in to Foster.  As we are talking, Shadrach comes up to us and says, I am reading the Book of Mormon and would like to learn with you guys. A big smile came on my face and I am like yeah we can definitely do that! So we talked and set up a return appointment.

Thursday
Today nothing much happened, just taught some lessons went over the plan of salvation with Lawrence. In the evening, we met with Benjamin, who told us of an experience he had. He is three weeks sober and he was given a glass of wine, but before he could drink it for some reason it fell out of his hand. He said that told him that God does not want him to drink.  Interesting but cool.

Friday
We started with teaching Patience and giving the Book of Mormon to her. Then we went out and met with Paul, who is more and more interested each time we meet him.

Saturday
Well, funerals and weddings make the backup of the backup of the backups fail.  But we still persevered to work and try to find someone to teach.  We were able to teach Collins.

Sundays are always fun here. Only two investigators showed, Joseph for his first time in 5 weeks and Collins which was sweet to see him come to church.
