Well, even with less than 3 weeks to go my mission is so unpredictable. At zone conference, we got there early and we were sitting outside. President shows up and after shaking all our hands he says, "Elder Marcusen can I talk to you in private over here?" So he asks how well do you know your area, because I need to transfer your companion. Like always, I was like anything you need me to do, I will do. So he said it will happen tomorrow.
This zone conference was my last Zone conference of my mission. It was awesome because instead of the same rice that they get every single time my entire mission they got us all a hamburger and a chicken burger and fries. A really cool story that came out of it from the guy who delivered our food. The church, back during the freeze had helped feed his family and he never knew what church it was until today when he delivered the food. At the end of zone conference in our mission, the missionary's going home give there farewell testimony. I went last of all the missionary's going home and well it was hard to say good bye but it was a sweet experience to give my testimony one last time to the mission at a zone conference.
This week I baked a cake and we made cinnamon rolls. It was the first time I have had one in over two years. Another cool thing is when we were out proselyting; I felt we really needed to contact this person. We did and she let us come back the next day. It was just an amazing lesson and we invited her to give the closing prayer. In that prayer she prayed to know if the things we are teaching are true. That was the first time in a long time that I have seen someone praying to know. They typically don’t believe they can ask God direct questions here. So that what awesome.
Well enjoy the pictures (also I can make chickens sleep and wake them up)
Elder Marcusen
