Well, it sounds like summer has officially started there.
Tuesday:
We didn't have district council because we are having our multi zone conference tomorrow. We had a good day though. We contacted a sister named Savior and were able to teach her, she seems really interested in the gospel. We also got to teach Gabriel about the plan of salvation.
Wednesday
Today was our multi zone conference with Elder Nash of the 70. Wow, in less than one month we have gotten to meet with two general authority’s, one being an apostle. Before the meeting started, I was studying the Book of Mormon to prepare myself spiritually to learn, and all the sudden boom like a wall the spirit just hit. I was like, that’s cool, then realized that Elder Nash had just walked in. Wow how a general authority can teach with the spirit! The focus was on the book of Mormon and how it is the sickle used to reap fields that are ready to be harvested.
Thursday
So today was good. We met with Gabriel, then we tried to see Shine but she wasn't around. We visited Savior and we got banku because people don’t believe that I can eat the food here, but I love it. We then were able to teach her the rest of the restoration and it went well.
Friday
Today was our Stakes celebration of being one and the 40th anniversary of the of the priesthood revelation for all men. They showed how the growth of the church has been in West Africa. Wow, that was incredible and it is only beginning. Some country's only have 75ish members. This year the 10th stake will be created in west Africa. In the evening I went out to Dodowa to go on exchanges.
Saturday
So today I had to do interviews at the location pictured below. It was out in a small village which was really cool.
Sunday
Well, I got to wear Crocs to church because it rained all night and was still raining. We went and picked up Hannah, one of our investigators, and brought her to church. I think she really liked it.
Love
Elder Marcusen
