Weeks 25-27

Hello Everyone,

It has been a while! Sorry about that. The internet cafes have been closed or without power.

Christmas here was so different because it is not really celebrated like back home. Very few places have Christmas decorations and no one plays Christmas songs. For Christmas Eve we got fed so much.  We had four meals lined up.  We started off with fufu right after church then we went to rice, and then to rice, and then to rice. So we were very full of rice by the end of the day. To celebrate Christmas we went and stayed at the zone leaders. For Christmas breakfast we had french toast with pancakes and eggs. For syrup we used sweet and condensed milk. Then we spent the day calling home because their are three of us.

On Wednesday transfers came and I left for adenta 2 area, which is right next to the area I was in (Haatso).

On new years eve the district leader came over and we played monopoly and made hamburgers and fry's which was good.

Monday
NEW YEARS! Well the new year is off to a great start. We went to go get food and try the cafe. As we were going a truck some how lost control and came off the road straight at us and some how was able to flip a u turn at a speed and tightness that it shouldn't have been able to.

Tuesday
We had district council which was good. After we went contacting and then had a lesson with Lawrence who is an investigator that is in a wheel chair because his legs dont work.

Wednesday
This morning we got a text message that our beloved prophet Thomas S. Monson had passed away. Today we tried to see an investigator who was playing hide and seek with us. Eventually we just gave up.

Thursday
We had interviews with President Keyes. Then the day was all about being in the right place at the right time. We meet so many new people that I cant wait to teach.

Friday
Today is six months on mission! Wow how the time has flown. It feels like just last month I was back home in Virginia.

Saturday
We tried to visit people but they kept falling through so we got to learn about more places in our area.

Sunday
Church was sweet. After we taught an investigator named Christabell who is the sweetest nine year old girl. We taught a little about plan of salvation then watch the testaments which was fun.

I hope you all had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

Love,
